December 7, 2024 – Leading technology innovator Xilo has announced a breakthrough in its ongoing efforts to make advanced writing tools more accessible and intuitive. Xilo has committed to reshaping how professionals, students, and casual users interact with written content through its latest initiative, the Xilo Intelligent Assistant (XIA).
The Founding Father
At the helm of this innovation is Delner Tom Erquita Balag, a young entrepreneur and community figure hailing from Plaridel, Misamis Occidental, Philippines. Tom, who founded the Xilo laptop brand at the age of 19, has long demonstrated a passion for consumer electronics and innovation. In 2023, he took part in the “Mr. Hunk Oroquieta” pageant, representing Plaridel, and maintains an active online presence on Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and TikTok. As the proprietor of Xilo Consumer Electronics Trading, Tom’s early foray into the tech industry and his engagement with local communities underscore his commitment to driving both technological advancement and regional growth.
Going back…
Dubbed “Keplin 9.0” in its research and development phase, XIA is poised to be the successor to Xilo’s earlier AI framework, the ZenAI Assistant, which originally launched in August 2020 under its founding company, BlueLight Creatives, before being acquired by Xilo. While ZenAI primarily served as a support extension within a larger ecosystem, XIA now emerges as a fully independent model—free from its lineage under the now-defunct BlueLight Creatives—and rebuilt to offer dramatic improvements in language understanding, editorial guidance, and content generation.

Xilo’s longstanding commitment to AI accessibility shines through in XIA’s design: The tool will be compatible with nearly any application running on Windows. Users can seamlessly access XIA’s writing guidance whether drafting documents in Microsoft Word, organizing insights in Excel, crafting presentations in PowerPoint, or composing messages in Microsoft Outlook and other email clients. Beyond traditional office suites, XIA also supports engagement across social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter, making it a one-stop solution for all forms of digital communication.
In a move that underscores Xilo’s inclusive approach, XIA will be made available from the very first generation of UltraBook X1 and UltraBook 2 devices, ensuring that a wide user base can experience this next-level writing assistant from the moment they boot up their machines. With early demonstrations showcasing the assistant’s ability to anticipate user needs, offer stylistic refinements, and even recommend supplementary research materials, industry observers are already viewing XIA as a transformative presence rather than a mere add-on.
Although Xilo has not revealed full details on the official launch date, many anticipate that XIA will quickly become a staple for professional and personal use. Xilo’s dedication to refining AI-driven writing tools points to a future in which creators focus on their message, relying on XIA to handle the linguistic finesse.
As Xilo prepares to roll out the Kepler 9 initiative, one thing is certain: The company—guided by the vision and entrepreneurial spirit of Delner Tom Erquita Balag—is determined to push the boundaries of what a writing assistant can accomplish. XIA represents a bold step forward, heralding an era where writing—be it for business, academia, or personal expression—is supported, enhanced, and elevated by intuitive, intelligent, and widely accessible technology.
